6 months from now, will you still be "researching"?

Let me ask you something uncomfortable. Six months from now, where will you be in this visa journey?

Let me ask you something uncomfortable.

Six months from now, where will you be in this visa journey?

Not where you hope. Where you'll actually be, based on what you're doing today.

Because EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, and O-1 have a weird effect on smart people: you can spend months feeling productive without moving an inch. New tabs. New notes. New examples. More "I'll start when I'm ready."

Here are two very real futures.

Future 1: You don't take action

Six months from now:

  • You know the criteria better than most people
  • You've bookmarked 30 success stories
  • You've had a couple lawyer calls (and maybe a couple $8K-$10K quotes)
  • Your documents are still scattered across Drive folders
  • You still don't have a cover letter draft you can edit

And the worst part? You won't be able to tell if you're close, because nothing is written down in a way that can be evaluated.

Future 2: You take action

Six months from now, you don't need a perfect case. You need one of these:

*Outcome A:* You've filed (or you're ready to file). You have a strategy, a draft, and evidence linked to your claims.

*Outcome B:* You've made a serious first attempt, and you know where you stand. You know your strongest criteria, your weak spots, and exactly what would strengthen your case.

Either outcome is a win. Because the biggest shift is not "approval" overnight. It's moving from uncertainty to clarity.

The truth nobody tells you:

Most people think they need confidence before they start. In reality, it works the other way around. You get confidence after you build something real.

A real outline. A real claim-to-proof map. A real first draft.

That's the moment the case becomes tangible, and you can stop guessing.

10-minute exercise:

Open a blank note and write:

  • Visa type: EB-1A / NIW / O-1
  • My top 3 criteria: ___ / ___ / ___
  • One sentence per criterion: "I meet this because ___. Proof: ___."

If you can do that, you're not starting from zero anymore.
